John Berger’s Ways of Seeing, will provide students with an excellent start to their GCSE Contextual Studies & GCE Independent Related Studies. “Berger wrote a groundbreaking and controversial work of art criticism and visual culture in 1972, and his life was deeply shaped by a series of talks he produced on art for the BBC World Service and New Statesman. The ‘mystification’ of art and Berger’s Marxist ideas shaped the way he responded to the visa culture of the era”. His work is used widely in art schools and universities. The resource is double-sided and should be printed on one A4 sheet or used digitally.
